Heavy Equipment and Farm Tractor Thefts

The Ottawa Police Service Organized Auto Theft Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with information on the whereabouts of the following construction equipment and individuals responsible for the thefts that have occurred across the city of Ottawa.

  • A Caterpillar 232 Skidsteer (similar to one depicted) was stolen from Strandherd Dr. and Fallowfield Rd, on September 30th, 2016.
  • Kubota B3030HSDC with front loading bucket and rear mounted BL2664 snow blowing attachment  (similar to the image) was stolen Early October 2016
  • A Mauldin 690G paver and a Case 580 Super M backhoe was stolen November 14th, 2016 (similar to the images shown)

Machinery and equipment thefts frequently occur during the overnight period which may draw attention to loading and unloading of equipment. The Ottawa Police Service encourages the public to call in suspicious activity to the Ottawa Police Service Call Centre at 613-236-1222 ext 7300. Police discourages any direct interaction with individuals engaged in the suspicious activities.

Anyone with information on the stolen equipment, sale of or individuals responsible is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service Organized Auto Theft Unit at 613-236-1222, ext 6835.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477. Remember Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display, we will not ask your name or record your call and you are not required to testify in court.
