Residential break and enter on Mackay Street

The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible for a residential break and enter.

On August 17, 2016 at approximately 1:00 pm, a suspect unlawfully entered a residential premise situated along the 400 block of Mackay Street. A credit card taken from the break-in was used on the same date at several retail locations. Investigators are today releasing images taken during the course of the transactions with the stolen card.

The suspect is described as a black male, 19-25 years old, 5’9” (175 cm), thin build, bald or shaved head with some facial hair. The male was wearing a light blue or green ‘Surf Pacific’ hooded sweatshirt, grey cargo shorts, black running shoes, and a grey ‘Zoo York’ ball cap (images attached.)

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call Ottawa Police’s Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533.
