UPDATE: MALE HAS BEEN ARRESTED.
The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of a suspect responsible for a series of convenience store robberies.
On June 10, 2016, at approximately 1:20 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 200 block of Richmond Road. The suspect, armed with a knife, made a demand for cash. The suspect was provided an undisclosed quantity of cash and then also demanded cigarettes. There were no injuries.
On June 12, 2016, at approximately 5:00 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 300 block of McArthur Avenue. The suspect, armed with a knife, pulled a cloth or similar over his face and made a demand for cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of both of these items. There were no injuries.
On June 15, 2016, at approximately 12:45 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 5900 block of Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard. The suspect, armed with a knife, made a demand for cash. The suspect fled the premises with undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
On June 16, 2016, at approximately 12:50 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 700 block of Baseline Road. The suspect, armed with a knife, made a demand for cash. The suspect fled the premises with undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 20-25 years of age, slim to medium build, short beard (but could now be clean shaven), 5’4″-5’8″ (163 cm to 173 cm), English speaking (images attached.)
