UPDATE: MALE TURNED HIMSELF IN TO THE POLICE.
The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the identity of a suspect responsible in a recent convenience store robbery.
On June 13, 2016, at approximately 9:50 pm, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 1-100 block of Tapiola Crescent near Johnson Road. The suspect indicated he had a weapon and made a demand for money. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes. The suspect was seen to flee to a dark blue vehicle, last seen travelling westbound on Johnson Road toward Bank Street. It is unclear if the suspect drove or had a driver waiting in the vehicle. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 40-50 years old, shaved head, light brown goatee, 5’8″ (173cm), and medium build. At the time he was wearing a brown plaid shirt, black and grey camo shorts, and white sneakers. (images attached)
